At first glance, most children with speech and language disorders look perfectly normal. Too often, however, they are locked behind a wall of silence which, without intervention, can lead to failure in school - - and in life.
Recognizing that every child deserves the chance to be heard and to fully develop his or her own potential, the California Scottish Rite Foundation has been providing speech and language therapy for children since 1962. All therapy at our 14 centers, from San Diego to Santa Rosa, is provided free of charge and is given regardless of race, religion, nationally or a family's financial status.
Utilizing cutting edge technology and child-centered therapeutic techniques, the Scottish Rite Childhood Language Centers are serving toddlers as young as 18 months up to 18 years of age.
Incorporated as a California non-profit corporation in 1958, the Foundation also supports many charitable and educational programs and annually awards numerous college scholarships. The California Scottish Rite Foundation is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) public charity.
In the maelstrom of today's worldwide financial crisis, your help is needed now, more than ever. With this Progress Report in hand, we ask that you carefully consider opening your heart to helping children overcome language, literacy and learning challenges by donating generously to the California Scottish Rite Foundation.
"The dream I've seen in the Scottish Rite is that they take care of those around us and when they do there are benefits that come full circle."
